Very few flight simulators exist for the Mac since, in particular, the Microsoft products are not currently ported to our platform.
By chance, Fly! has existed on Mac practically since its inception (1999), we are numerous, and regard it as the best flight simulator. The defects of the first and original Fly! version 1, which were particular for the Mac, were solved, and made Fly! 2k an excellent simulator, which is completely stable on Mac. There was a fallback that since more effort was concentrating on the Mac problems diverted attention from its PC brother, due to this, the Mac and PC versions are nose to nose on overall stability. It is superbly enriched by the developers, the first of which is the ROTW group.
Because of the great interest in Fly!, in addition to its quality, it gives the developers the opportunity to create additions (the famous add-ons): planes, scenes, buildings, taxiways, radio assistances, scripts, etc. And the greater part of these additions are usable on Mac, this is excellent news! In fact, only the creators will be frustrated a little, because the development tools are in general all in the Windows world; but for the users, not a big problem at all.
We now (finally!) have the choice between the Fly! II version, patched on Christmas 2002 (see the page Fly! II) and the Fly! 2k version. It is obviously a personal choice (like owning a Mac !).
The purpose of this page is to help "Mac Users" to draw the best from Fly!. All pilots, beginners or veterans, will find great happiness there if they take the some advice which we give here. For more detail on each subject, consult the Fly.Simvol homepage on these pages we refer to specifically Mac related use of Fly!.
Do not hesitate to share your remarks with us, as we will be able to improve these pages with your help.
One last word, important: friendship reigns between all Fly!ers, whichever OS they may be using. Even if we tease ourselves readily on this subject, passion to fly and solidarity count above all.

1°) it is necessary for you to initially open a new window in navigator or other
web browser (open-apple-N),
2°) go to avsim.com, selected the menu "File Library", then look
for TRI Simulators, TRI Fly!. And finally the desired category: aircraft, patches, sceneries,
etc.
3°) alternatively, you may use the keyword search or file names, I would give out this name
of one such file, and you perform a search.
