Flights preparation

Articles

This new heading proposes a perfection of the flights preparation with Fly!.
Indeed, in order to improve the realism of Fly!, it was attractive to gather all skills of our team and to optimize the use of all existing tools.

Our objective is neither to pile all statutory texts nor to write a treatise on air navigation.
We created these pages so that the virtual pilots who wish to fly closer to the reality find practical and useful advices to prepare meticulously their flights; so we especially privileged detailed examples, to give each one the desire "to fly differently".

This heading is not set; it will evolve with the creation of new tools, or the perfection of the existing ones, and especially with all of you, users, who will make suggestions, criticisms and remarks in Fly.Simvol forum.

And why not, if you deal with this technics, someday we shall meet on IVAO or on VATSIM for net-Fly!ing together, in order to try to test all this ;-)

Have good prepared flights ! ;-)

The preparation tool:
VolNav

VolNav, created and regularly improved by Didier Rigault, is an application allowing to prepare, in detail, a navigation, by using all possible data, then to save all this in a ".sit" file that Fly! II will use. The tools of navigation in flight in Fly! II.

A pressure converter hPa/inches

Now you can calculate QNH et QFE in both systems.
