Vast problem !
Yes, one of the most important Fly! II defects is the poverty of the world
airport cover except for the USA. Of course, there are many airfields
represented with their runways, but often they are wrong (orientation,
nonexistent, missing) and without tarmac nor taxiways. The desert !
When we know density of our French airfields (even if they have a tendency
to close) we can understand why more and more French Flyers turned towards
simulators with more buildings.
The French community, once again, did not abandon (as a lot of our more
or less distant neighbours) and got down to work. The good surprise came
with the possibility to recover buildings and objects from Fly!, which
allowed to re-create work from the previous version.
Finally, our friend Allen Kriesman
offered us a magnificent present with his airports construction software: TerraModels. There is no need to embark on construction and photo-texturing of complex buildings with TrueSpace and Binedit, some clicks from a vast library of generic objects or objects put as "Shared" and all the desired infrastructures come out of ground: a must !
Thus Simvol is pleased to provide you with the creations of all our French-speaking friends from the ROTW group or not. Naturally our dream is to cover all France like our Italian friends did it for their beautiful country: are you on ?
