Fly! II: static aircraft |
Airports sceneries delivered by creators for Fly! II are more and more realistic and their tarmacs come into aircraft of all kinds, that gives a beautiful effect.
The ROTW decided to offer to these creators the possibility of placing in static the majority of the aircraft which made its success.
Biber Salsa also makes them a present of a superb Air France Airbus A340 for the Toulouse Blagnac scenery (it is here which is put together and made its first tests in flight).
So we gathered in a .pod file these planes. This library must be imperative loaded in ..\Scenery\Shared to use the French airports (refer to explanatory files delivered in every airport).

Thus you have a complement to superb libraries of Biber Salsa, the great master of static objects for Fly! II.

Fly! II: supplementary static aircraft |
Here is the first realization of our friend Frédéric Mouflin (more known under the Fred38 nickname and registered in trombino) who, between two buildings for Roissy Charles de Gaulle, relaxs in making us several static objects.
You will have of course recognized the famous Mirage 2000N, the jewel of the Dassault manufacturing.
Follow well the Frédéric's explanations for its installation if you want to see appear on our favourite tarmacs (thanks to the Fly! II editor of course).

Frédéric moves on the French military static aircraft manufacturing with a very beautiful Marine Rafale which will give certainly the desire to realize the Lorient-Lann Bihoué airport, air and sea Breton base that these planes frequent regularly.
This is a screenshot taken for an impromptu meeting with a TBM in stopover in Orly-south.

Here is a static aircraft which is present in Fly! since quite a lot of time, but with an abnormality in painting. So, one day, it was necessary to us to re-establih the truth.
Thus, Leen (ROTW) resumed the model made by Laurent (ROTW) and, thanks to some Pacha's photos, allows us to provide a static DR400 registered F-GLDI (160HP "Major" which, during a long time, was the property of the Annemasse flying club) in a much more realistic design. And as all of you were very kind, here are some photos of this marvel:

As for previous ones, these "static objects" are for developers which want to fill their sceneries to make them more realistic. You will notice that these objects are less well "polished up" than their flying counterparts. The reason is simple: "polygons" saving not to decrease display speed (FPS).
The file below contains the new texture (.RAW and .ACT) that you will copy into ...Fly! II\Art so that all former sceneries using this DR400 are updated. Developers will know how to recover 3D model (DR4001.BIN) and add it in their new sceneries with the texture below.
