Piper PA28 Warrior II 161 |
That makes a long time we wished to see in Fly! an aircraft as widespread in the world of the light aviation as the Cessna 172 and which is asked by all the pilots who do something else than local flight: the Piper PA28 Warrior.
It is indeed an aircraft extremely stable and pleasant to pilot what makes an aircraft particularly adapted to comfortable travels. With equal motorization, it is also less noisy than its competitors Cessna and Robin, and allows to avoid the radio helmet that is particularly appreciable on long travels.
The model placed at the disposal here has been created by Fly! II.
Several informations on this realization which occupied 5 persons for many months:
- all the views, as much exterior as interior, have been made from about 100 digital photos of the real aircraft taken by René Birot. We kept its registration F-GBTK.
- the 3D model has been entierely conceived and textured by Jean Sabatier (very famous for his numerous realizations as much in sceneries, airports and aircraft).
- the panel and the interior views have been realized by TJ (Breton sceneries, Paris...). It is complete. It is the main pice of this realization: all the gauges, indicators, switches, joysticks are perfectly functional and in accordance with the real model (engines and oil gauges have been entierely created, even the lighting iron-cored choke are active).
- the flight model is of our friend Laurent Claudet, already known for his numerous planes in Fly! 1/2K. It also participated very actively to the panel realization and the creation of its parts or specific instruments.

- we prefered to set up it modern radios, the original having devices a little old-fashioned dating of the Eighties.
- all the interior views are present (remark the velvet textures of the seats, the plastics of the trimmings...).
- as a low front view of the cockpit to handle the parking brake, flaps (necessiting the battery on), the trim and the lateral trim which are completely operational.

- also a low left lateral view to the handling of the oil tap functional.
- and the improvement very in demand on the American forum: the central upright of the centerpost is present on this version.
- two littles differences with the real model: the emergency locator is not on the panel but on the left side of the aircraft and the trim which is located behind the flaps lever.
- the flight model is totally specific and has been realized from the technical manual of the aircraft and informations taken in real flight.
- all the preparation images of the aircraft (UI) are present in every version of Fly!.
A great first: an use manual of the aircraft (creation René Birot) is also provided. It is embellished with numerous explanatory screenshots taken under Fly! and Fly ! II. It provides all the checklist follow-up for the installation of this PA28. Performances tables and the real checklist are also present. The cover is of Jean-Paul MES, as the English translation.
The Piper PA28 Warrior II 161 is the result of a considerable work of ROTW (Jean-Paul, Laurent, René, Thomas) and of Jean. This aircraft reachs thus the quality of commercial products.
NB: The ROTW group has other projects of this importance in reserve.
Good flights on the new TANGO-KILO !
