Laurent prepared here a new program of which he has the secret: "Plotting Table". Its aim is to visualize rivers and coasts which are used to load "moving map".
It's still in version unfinished, that explains this product appears in "Projects" page of ROTW, even it is in download.

Now the explanations of the "Master":

"...As independant application, PlottingTable.exe displays coverted areas by data files world_coast.dat and rivers.dat which serve to "moving-maps" ROTW_230 and 350.
This little exe reads data placed in the \Data folder of Fly!. To work, world_coast.dat and rivers.dat files must be situated in \Data folder and Plotting Table must be placed in the principal folder of Fly!.

Down and Right cursors serve to the moving, the left cursor serving to define the zoom factor.

The second function of this exe is to read again the flight data (see the instructions lower). If you generated a file __PlottingTable.dat containing your route in the \Data folder, you will be able to visualize it, zoom and center you on this one in using the "user" button.

You will be able to generate a file __PlottingTable.dat in starting the recording in the "pluglins" menu (in right of the bar). Then you are enough to select either 5 NM (for longer flights) or 1 NM (to increase the accuracy to for example IFR flights exercises). When the shift between the points defined, the window close and the recording begins. In working, you will be able to remark the influence almost null this DLL has on the fluidity. When it has been stopped, it doesn't influence any more, it allows you to keep this DLL loaded in permanence.

Once the flight or your exercice IFR finished, shut off the recorder in the "plugin" menu.

In consulting the file __PlottingTable in the \Data folder, you will find position and altitude data of your filght..."

If you desire (and don't hesitate to ask precisions to Laurent if, "exceptionnally", you wouldn't all understood).

- March 13th 2004, new version which improved the curves render in tight turnings. With a turning with a standard rate we have a beautiful circle arc (and this in resolution 1NM or 5NM).

- March 21st 2004, new improvements to follow approachs.

- March 29th 2004, version 1 in online, again new functions:
1- possibility to program himself an exercice ARC DME IFR and to have a view of vertical plan during the flight (hold the altitude in tight turning).
2- possibility to load in the program others flight drawings with a LOAD button.

It is obvious Laurent didn't go to content to provide us a superb tool (which complete all has been made by ROTW in the domain of flight instrumentation) without gives us cartographic additions which avoid to philistines we are to search them and to form them.
