Nobody denies one of the Fly! II defaults, it is the modelization of the landscapes outside several American areas. Generic textures are little probables in our country and, our mountains and lakes seem to have strange relations, because of a frenzied erosion which, in leveling the ones, make rise the others.
Beralex shows emotion, and decided to roll up his sleeves in taking in his cost to review all that, not for several square kilometers around his favourite garden, but for all the France.
This ambitious project will ask a lot of time and he delivers us here the first part, the most urgent in relation with certain of our friends from Mediterranean, the southeast, going from Mediterranean to Switzerland and covering a part of the Italian Alps.
This work of several months allows him to correct several inconsistencies of altitudes between "tiles", to remove this unpleasant habit that certain water areas (sea, lakes) had to climb quietly the slopes, to review the runways altitudes, and finally to add grass on the Marseille, Istres, Nice, Gap and Mont Dauphin airfields.
The icing on the cake: Nice is finally saved from water. I know somebody who will be happy !
Our friend of ROTW, Henri Coudeville, specialist of the sceneries fitting out, in giving several explanations to Beralex, allows him to avoid several technic stumbling block.
Ah, for those who want to know all (especially when it is free !), the tolerance used is 15m and there are 16 levels of elevations by tile. Béralex tested superior densities, but good morning the necessary equipment to assure the fluidity.

| The northeast elevations of France |
Second part of this "gigantic" work which consists to put back in the good level every point of the French territory, here is the northeast area which covers the mountainous of the Jura, Vosges, Ardennes massifs and the Black Forest in Germany.
The area covered goes from the North of the Belgium to the North of the Switzerland and does the link with the southeast elevations which cover, as each one knows, from Alps to the Mediterranean.
As previously lakes undergo the treatement which restores the elementary rules of physics in giving them a surface in constant level. We can finally fly over the "vosgiens" lakes with no surprise.
Be careful , the "Francfurt" scenery (Germany) must be absolutely present. Normally it is a scenery provided with Fly! II (except the first versions).

| The elevations of the North Brittany |
Third part of the update of all the French territory, here the north area of the Brittanny. Of course, the result is not as spectacular as a mountainous area, the Brittany not being famous for its "high summits" (if we remove the Arée mountains which reach its highest point at... 1000 ft and where we find... a VOR).
These elevations have been made to be used with the 2D scenery of Avranches, Dinard North and South (H.Coudeville and TJ) and the scenery of Rennes (TJ).

| Pyrenean elevations |
New part for the French elevations upgrade; the very beautiful range of mountains in
the South of France: the Pyrenees ! So from the Mediterranean shores to the Atlantic
Ocean ones, you can "tack" between the sharp summits of this very young European mountain.
This modification was a preliminary to the release of new magnificent scenery: the Pyrenees in 2D texture.
