Here's the extension, westwards, of the Cannes area. This time, the cities of Hyeres and Toulon are to the fore. The view above shows Toulon back country with the Mont Cerdon and the very famous Mont Faron (important place of the French Resistance but also of a certain missed assassination attempt against an equally famous President of the Republic). And for not spoiling our joy, the view of the natural harbour seen from the Mont Faron: a great moment of visual pleasure.

The port of Toulon and its natural harbour, qualified as "the more beautiful in Europe" (by Toulon inhabitants, ha-ha!), is perfectly depicted and flying visually is a delight with such landmarks. On the view above, far off, the ports of Sanary and Bandol.
Below, the natural harbour with its big pier and, rightwards, the city of Saint Mandrier, peninsula almost completely occupied by the French Navy twenty year ago (we still distinguish the helicopters naval airbase where I have been "plaguing" a while). Today all pieces of land became building lands, the base is closed, in a state of neglect: everything's falling apart!

In the midst of all this I don't forget Hyeres, known for its avenues lined with hundreds of palm trees, its peninsula and the famous islands of Porquerolles, Porcros and the Levant. So, to allow you to appreciate the magnificent work made by our partners TJ and Beralex, here is a view of the current scenery followed by what it was before. It's top quality stuff!

NOTE: We shall never repeat it enough, it's necessary to read the explanatory files accompanying the sceneries because sometimes there are some modifications to be made in some Fly! II folders, in particular you must remove the rises "...\France_SE_SRTMv1\D004161_nord.pod" from ...\scenery folder (remove also the related file .scf).

This scenery is supplied with all necessary taxiways: it is recommended to follow the evolutions of the ROTW taxiways file, regularly updated (refer to the dedicated page), because it's then necessary to remove, from the directory, the ones delivered with sceneries.
