Montpellier area in photo-realistic textures (GT 002-162 North) |

Here's the latest released scenery which ends (almost) the Mediterranean coast (from Perpignan to Cannes,
but Nice will come, no panic !): Montpellier area, capital of Languedoc, known, among other things, for its numerous
universities.
Scenery modelling is fantastic and, here, TJ made a festival of totally realistic colors which make the beauty of this
region which, swept by powerful winds as the Tramontana in south and the Mistral in north, always baths in an incomparable
luminosity.
Look at, in this view facing south (near Perpignan), these different shades of blue in the "salty ponds" which follow the coastline of Languedoc and Roussillon: we distinctly perceive seaweed areas from sandy bottoms, isn't it ?

And there, by looking northward (Nimes, Marseille...), the salt marshes of Aigues Morte with their pink-red tint
so surprising and so beautiful on aerial view. Look at below, Port-Camargue which stands out under the wings of the Eurofighter
"Typhoon" on reconnaissance flight. Nothing is missing, the Grau du Roi, the canal which connects Aigues Morte with
the sea, the pond of the Ponant and the Grande Motte... It's "magic" !
Take care, at low altitude (VFR is authorized on a precise progression at 700 ft max), of pink flamingos flights !

NOTE: We shall never repeat it enough, it's necessary to read the explanatory files accompanying the sceneries
because sometimes there are some modifications to be made in Fly! II directories, in particular you must remove the files "D002162_nord.pod" and , "Visi D002162_sud.scf" from the directory
"...\scenery...\France_SE_SRTMv1\".
This scenery is supplied with an updated taxiways version, "FranceTaxi-F2_V9.zip", including all necessary taxiways. It's recommended to follow the evolutions of the ROTW taxiways file, regularly updated (refer to the dedicated page), because it's then necessary to remove, from the directory, the ones delivered with sceneries.
