The Pyrenees in photo-realistic textures: Pamplona (GT 254-161) |
Gilles, our "cartographer", having realized (with Frédéric) the microlight
"Cordouan", starts "ground" texturing, also named "2D".
So, here's the first from a series of five "Globe Tiles" that will cover the Pyrenees:
Pamplona area (Spain) to the doors of Biarritz (France). A very beautiful region a little more arid
on Spanish side, I let you go to see it.
Naturally, Béralex ended the work with his usual "SRTM" elevations.
And for those who forget "how it was before", find all this work as "normal" and even trivialize it, here's an image that shows the difference between "hand made" textures and "generic" ones.

NOTE: We shall never repeat it enough, it's necessary to read the explanatory files accompanying the sceneries because, sometimes, there're some modifications to be made in some Fly! II directories, in particular you must remove the files "...\PYRE_SRTM\D254161_nord.pod" and "D254161_sud.pod" from the directory ... Fly! II\scenery (and also the corresponding .scf files).
