by Gilles "Drone", Beralex and TJ (all ROTW
members)

Gilles continues to cover the Pyrenees with 2D sceneries. This region of Puivert (half-tile 001-161 South)
is the fourth "globe tile" out of the five ones intended to cover all this mountain range, which naturally
separates Spain from France.
It's a ROTW members teamwork:
- the basic colorization and the corresponding tutorial are supplied by our "expert" TJ.
- Gilles "Drone" took charge of drawing details: rivers, cities, railroads, night textures...
and follows up the project.
- Finally, and as usual, Béralex supplied the corrected "SRTM" elevations which express marvellously
the relief of this very hilly region.

The region covered by this scenery extends over three countries:
Spain, France and also Andorra, of which the co-princes are the president
of the French Republic and the bishop of Urgell in Spain.
But don't talk endlessly and let us look at the map opposite (
click the image to enlarge it).
Among the French airports, Sainte-Léocadie and Mont Louis la Quillane
aren't released yet. Nevertheless the textures of their grass runways are
already visible in this scenery.
On the Spanish side, Cerdana and Seo de Urgell have hard runways.
But this last one straddles two tiles, what always complicates the task of
the designers.

The Mediterranean Sea (towards Perpignan and the cape Creus) is not far, but summits
are high (more than 9,500 ft), valleys are deep, and we find magnificent mountain
lakes, passes to cross ...
You'll visit famous places, among others: Andorra, the Puymorens pass, the Canigou,
Font-Romeu. It's really a magnificent region, which is worth making the journey, as
the tourist guides say ;-)
NOTE: We shall never repeat it enough, it's necessary to read the explanatory files
accompanying these Pyrenean sceneries because sometimes some modifications have to
be made in Fly! II directories, in particular you must remove
the file "...\PYRE_SRTM\D001161_sud.pod" from the directory "...\scenery"
(and also the corresponding .scf file).
