Tutorial: preparation to the network flight in Fly! II (V2) |
In the world of simulation, very quickly virtual pilots wanted to meet again in several to fly. What more natural to put in condition of controlled flight like do it marketing man, but also private pilots under IFR flight plan ?
What more natural to be in contact with a "living" control tower in VFR in a CTR ?
Virtual pilots form in "air traffic controller" and specific tools to these occupations were born.
So, it is possible to "go in back the route", after having chose departure and arrival airfields and after having defined his flight plan.
Air traffic controllers make their job very seriously and the realism involve to follow their directives with precision.
All of that is not easy because "there are people in the loop" to paraphrase a sentence of a famous movie. Gilles tries to, in this tutorial to indicate you necessary software to launch you in the "network flight" and gives you advices on their use.

And Fly.Simvol, the "lair" of ROTW doesn't move backwards in front of no sacrifice, and in the Gilles's request, opened on his site a forum dedicated to this type of activity. You can ask all your questions you want on this topic (and the only silly questions, these are the one which don't ask !), the "pros" of the network flight make a pleasure to ask them.
And don't forget to read the numerous articles developed in Fly.Simvol to help you to assimiltate navigation rules and IFR flight ("The art of flying" heading).
Now so, if that tempts you...

Network flight: available aircraft |
In order to allow to virtual pilots flying in network (under flight plan of course !) to use their favorite aircraft, and so in particular the one created by ROTW, Gilles provides us here necessary files to this operation.
It remains you to follow the explanations of the "alire.txt" file.
