"Tiles" map

by Azzurro (ROTW)

Sceneries developers are compelled to respect "tiles" division proposed by Fly! II. Moreover, it happened that two developers work on the same area ! What a pity !

In order to avoid all that and to allow to know exactly, and without looking for, what are the coordinates of a tile, Azzurro drew us this map of France (in big size in the file to be downloaded) with the grid layout numbered for every basic tile.

When we know that it's also with this numbering that sceneries are stored in \Data, everything becomes easier. Refer to the picture below for Rennes western area which is in D254166:

"Tiles" map: elevations and 2D textures

by Frédéric Mouflin (ROTW) and Azzurro (ROTW)

Here is a first use of Azzurro's "tiles" map: a cartographic representation of areas covered by ROTW's work (ground textures and elevations). Colors allow to distinguish both type of creations and transparency is used for "mixed" areas.

Here is, in "normal" size, an area with: Beralex's elevations in mauve, Roland_Lfor's textures in green and an area not yet worked in light yellow.

Naturally, this map will be regularly updated according to new creations.
Fly. Simvol is ready to release similar information for other countries if volunteers make the same work.
