PODcreator : the creation tool of response files and POD files without passing in Fly! II

by Didier Rigault (ROTW)

Here is an utility very expected by all who tried the creation of the .POD files.

How did that work before:

    - you had to place files in their origin folders the whole in the main Fly! folder, which became complicated if we had files already present and didn't entering in the future POD to create.
    - you had to create the "response file", text file containing all the access path of all the files to make enter in the POD, this with the board ways (msdos commands !). This response file had to find imperative in the main Fly! folder.
    - you had to start Fly! in pushing the C key to enter in the management menu of the Fly! II files and databases
    - you had to use the option 4 to generate his POD from a response file

How does that work with PODcreator:

    - we create a work folder where we want on his hard drive (example:c:\_creat-pod)
    - we place Fly! II folders containing files to "pod" (/models, /Data, ...)
    - we start PODcreator and we restart the work folder
    - we click on the TBM 700 picture to open the creator window of the response file which is going to find after saving in your work folder

    - we click on the PA28 picture to create the POD file which will find also in the work folder:

    - it remains only to place the .POD file in his working folder under Fly! (in the example, it is /Scenery/Redon)

Warning: new version in 10/5/2002: allow to "pod" some files which are in a multi-level tree.
