VolNav is a tool of flight preparation dedicated to Fly! II (it doesn't
work with Fly! 1/2K) which allows you to create flight plans.
You may prepare your VFR or IFR flight from version 1.2 (April 2004).
To do this it uses the database which is installed in your ..\system
folder of Fly! II, namely your own POD files such as Airport, Navaid, Waypoint
or Runway.
In this tool you will be able to make appear also "airways".
So you will have to download the Fly2_ATSROUTExxxx.zip
file which is an updated version and lightly modified in comparison with
the origin version unused by Fly! II.
Of course for IFR you will be able to use SID and STAR procedures
which will be at Fly!ers community disposal. VolNav allows you to create yourself
easily these procedures and then to put them at disposal of the others pilots.
Also, it allows you to create so easily nonexistent additional points in
the base to include them in a DEX file thanks to VolEdit.
More, VolNav allows to download directly the real weather report during the flight in using Infometar connections and the automatic loading of the weather report of the flight plan thanks to AutoWeather.

Contributions of version V1.2: it includes all previous versions.
Presentation is changed (see image below).
It adds the possibility to use points known as VFR in its flight plan
(these points can be downloaded on Simvol). It is also possible to read
directly METAR files. And you can use GMT time.
Finally, Didier added a maps selection which can be downloaded in extra
(files provided here for Europe and USA).
Contributions of version 1.41 (the same than 1.4 with a bug fixed): colour improvement, full screen map, information more complete when you move the pointer over a point, ILS axis are marked. You can research an installation directly on the map if you have loaded the file BRDY.POD, you can also display control areas, and finally, great new, an additional thumbnail "Outils/Tools" allows to manage the "visibility" files .SCF delivered with each Fly! II scenery. Very complete function, it allows the maps display in "globe-tiles" and is useful for developers or if you want to optimize your simulator (see second image below).
Contribution of the version 1.50: it's a major version which completes the new ATCsynth tool
by creating flight plans for virtual aircrafts contyrolled as your plane
by a complete vocal ATC.
Recall of the history:
The beta 3 version allows to switch in "persistent world", to load an
other flight plan without restarting Fly!, to get the landing airport
from a click on a button.
The beta 4 version brings, as well as a code rebuilding, the printing of
the flight plan.
The beta 5 is a version fixing some "bugs".
The final version 1.1 allows to include in your flight plans some calculated
points either from a station (bearing and distance), or from two stations
(bearings).
The final version 1.2 includes the use of the GMT time.
The final version 1.4 includes a display tool for files .SCF.
The final version 1.5 brings the creation of the flight plans for ATCsynth
