100% free and open source

Fly! Legacy is a 100% free flight simulator, without limitation, open source and participative developed (on Chris Wallace's initiative) from Fly! II, simulator of Terminal Reality released in 2001. Currently, the simulator is mainly developed by ROTW, the famous French developers team, known for its work on France with Fly! 1/2K and Fly! II.

Panels in high definition

Contrary to Fly! II where the panels are in standard definition (1024x768), the panels in Fly! Legacy are in high definition and in 16/9 in order to offer the best readability and a realism which surpasses all the existing free or commercial flight simulators of the market (in 2D mode, the 3D mode is not implemented).

Realism

Fly! Legacy is developed by ROTW, the famous French developers team, which developed hundreds of creations of quality for France in Fly! 1/2K and Fly! II. The developers of the project are mostly amateur or professional pilots, realism is their priority #1.

Vector map

Fly! Legacy includes a vector map, enhanced version of the one of Fly! II, which allows you to see the localization of your plane, the airports, the VOR, the NAVAID as well as your flight plan. You can also teleport you with one click to a given point, see the information about an airport and even display external files, like the VAC maps.

Compatible with the Fly! II 2D sceneries and airports

Developed from Fly! II, the flight simulator of Terminal Reality released in 2001, Fly! Legacy is compatible with all Fly! II 2D sceneries and airports. As a result, you can use all the 2D sceneries and airports available on Fly.Simvol (Fly! II category) and other websites, like Avsim. By default, Fly! Legacy is provided with Chambéry and Annemasse.

No brand new computer needed

Contrary to other simulators, Fly! II needn't brand new computer to work correctly, a 4-5 years old machine is enough.
MINIMAL: Dual Core processor (Intel or AMD), 2 GB of RAM, Nvidia Geforce 8 or ATI Radeon X graphic card, 1.5 GB of hard drive, Windows XP or superior (32 or 64 bits).

Buildings and forests generation from the land registry with OpenStreetMapNEW

With OpenStreetMap, the open source competitor of Google Maps, it is now possible to generate from the land registry, all buildings and forests from an area of your choice. More than a simple autogen, OpenStreetMap allows you to reach an unequalled realism in comparison with the previous versions.
